The Code for America Brigade I founded in Grand Rapids, Michigan
August 2012
In the summer of 2012 I founded Friendly Code, the Grand Rapids Code for America Brigade and one of the first brigades in the network. From 2012 to 2015 I was its captain: we held meetups every two weeks, relaunched the Viget.org city wiki, and worked with the City of Grand Rapids to develop and launch its open data portal.
